COMMUNITY SAFETY

All of us want a safe environment to in which we live. Living within a forest where typical first responders are not as close as in urban areas presents some safety concerns many owners have not experienced. The early residents of Texas Grand Ranch (we call them TGR Pioneers) recognized this and organized efforts to provide more immediate assistance and resources to protect our property so we can minimize any damage mother nature sends our way. Living safely is more than protecting your family, it’s about protecting the entire community.

Life’s emergencies are often unexpected. But when emergencies do happen ALWAYS CALL 911 FIRST. Then use your CREW APP to summons nearby neighbors for interim HELP while waiting on EMS/Fire/Sheriff.

Resident volunteers in all areas of TGR will quickly respond to your emergency while waiting for first responders. We even have people who will meet the emergency responder at TGR’s entrance and escort them to your residence.

CREW has proven to be a great tool. But we must use it wisely. It is meant for 911-type emergencies. More information will be provided when you join CREW.

You must be registered to participate in CREW. To register, contact Bill Bailey at

Firewise is a national organization supported by the National Fire Protection Association with a purpose of helping neighbors get organized, find direction and take action to increase ignition resistance of our homes and communities. Texas Grand Ranch is one of over 1500 nationally recognized Firewise communities in the US.

More information is available thru Shelly Bailey. In addition, look for Firewise meetings conducted throughout the year.
